With 2028, Los Angeles joins a select group of cities to host the Summer Games for a third time. Both previous editions, in 1932 and 1984, fell during periods when the Games grew considerably in scale.

The other answer options were not chosen at random. Paris hosted in 2024, Tokyo held the immediately preceding summer edition (delayed and ultimately held in 2021), and Brisbane is indeed scheduled for a later edition. All four options are therefore genuine host cities, which makes the question somewhat trickier than it might appear at first glance.

For a Dutch connection: there have been lobbying efforts for the Netherlands to put forward its own bid, with the aim of bringing the Games back to the country for the first time in roughly a century. That plan was ultimately never realised, but the debate surrounding it shows how seriously such bids are considered, even in smaller countries.
